What will I do as a Nurse Supervisor at Saint Elizabeth? Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care. Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues that need administrative action and communication forward to appropriate level. Supervises and leads staff effectively. Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned area. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style. Performs other related duties as required. Handles all staff call outs. Manages and oversees the nursing department schedule. Educates and assists in training nurses as needed Supports staff in dealing with resident/family concerns Qualifications for a Nurse Supervisor: Current and valid RN or LPN license in Rhode Island Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Proficiency in using computers, EMAR software (Point Click Care), and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to move throughout the entire campus. Why choose Saint Elizabeth Community?
