What does a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Driver do? DSP's provide support to people with disabilities to help them live their best lives. You truly make a difference in the lives of the people we support, both in a home environment but also within their community. DSP's will assist people we support with self-care with things such as getting ready for the day or getting ready to go to bed. This also includes personal care, as needed. You will help people with cooking, cleaning, medication assistance and participating in social/recreational activities in the community - and just plain having fun while making a difference! This position will focus heavily on transporting employees to specific destinations in a safe and timely fashion on the weekends during the hours of 9pm-9am. The remaining hours would be spend providing direct support to the people supported in our residential homes. Qualifications: 18+ years of age Valid NYS Driver's license with 2 years of experience A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. No experience is required.
