ALTA is currently hiring for a full- or part-time Manufacturing Production Technician / Glass Etching Specialist to customize awards and promotional products while working the 1st shift in the Brooklyn Park, MN area. This full- or part-time entry-level position earns a competitive starting wage of $18.50/hr . It's easy! Just fill out our initial mobile-friendly online application . We hope to meet you soon! DAY-TO-DAY This entry-level job has a 1st shift schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm . Full-time is preferred, but we will also consider part-time schedules. As an entry-level Manufacturing Production Technician / Glass Etching Specialist, you have the important job of ensuring that glass and marble products are customized according to specifications. You facilitate the etching process, leaving elegant designs on awards, plaques, and clocks. Each order is different, and you enjoy working on a wide variety of promotional products such as wine glasses, vases, paperweights, and beer steins. You take accountability for ensuring every job is completed on time by carefully keeping an eye on inventory and planning out the workload process. Attentive to detail, you proof the design, then make and apply a self-adhesive stencil. Next, you sandblast the item using our professional blasting equipment. With a focus on quality and safety, you monitor the equipment and perform minor maintenance to keep it operating smoothly. After the design has been etched on the exposed areas, you remove the stencil and clean the surface. Some orders require color-filling etched pieces, while others require minor assembly.
