The shift for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Cultivation Manager Our Cultivation Manager is primarily responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting the day-to-day cultivation and facilities activities with direction from the General Manager. Our manager will support with maintaining the established cultivation schedule and completion of tasks, as well as the proper functioning of the facilities and equipment. This manager will Model, Foster, and sustain the company culture of excellence and inclusivity; holding self and others accountable for individual and team development that align with the needs of the business. Your role in caring for our company: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Management of people, processes, and projects in all aspects of cultivation and facilities maintenance Train employees in all states of the plant life cycle, including but not limited to general plant care, propagation, and transplanting Maintain and refine schedules for clone, mother stock, vegetative, and flowering plants, Integrated Pest Management application, and facilities routine maintenance and service Ensure routine schedules are executed in a timely and accurate manner Ensure all daily tasks of the cultivation department are executed, including but not limited to the following: cloning, transplanting, mother stock care, feeding, defoliation, waste disposal, and sanitizing rooms for reset Responsible for tracking canopy management techniques to ensure baseline plant performance expectations are being met Escalate issues in a timely manner Ensure all equipment logs, GoCanvas reports, and plant performance logs are completed Report all equipment, technical, or workload problems immediately to General Manager Create cultivation and facilities maintenance staff daily schedule and assigns individual duties. In the event of staff absence, revises schedule and requests support from other departments as needed. Ensure facilities daily cultivation tasks are completed in a manner that aligns with company culture and is above and beyond what is required by laws and regulations Organize and manages storage spaces Oversee execution of cultivation ERP functions Collaborate effectively with Human Resources and appropriate partners Address low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies. Retain and develop top performers by understanding individuals motivations and providing actionable feedback. Conduct periodic performance reviews and continual coaching and performance feedback Other duties as assigned Qualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check. We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED. We ask that you have a mi nimum of three (3) years management experience. Ability to involve staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement; be available to staff; provide regular performance feedback; and develop subordinates' skills and encourages growth. Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers. Strong work ethics - be accountable and proactive. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks Must be capable of sitting for extended periods of time, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly As this is a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday. Employees are asked to wear scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants. DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets to all employees.
