JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECH DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO: ADVISOR, MAINTENANCE General Summary Perform detailed and complex job functions (ie. normal course of business activities). Investigate and recommend ways to improve efficiencies of daily job activities. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Carry out daily instructions and assignments given by Team Leader or superior Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance activity Improve equipment by carrying out corrective maintenance activity Trouble-shoot and repair equipment using professional skills and abilities Work safely - following all safety instructions and standards Communicate all daily activity Submit all paperwork at end of shift Skills & Abilities Ability to inform and instruct others regarding problems and preventive countermeasures Record-keeping skills necessary to inform and update work status Math skills necessary to calculate angles, dimensions, and sizes Ability to interpret and understand technical information and drawings Effective trouble-shooting skills Capable of using tools required on the job Maintenance knowledge sufficient to determine proper methods for repair Effective decision-making skills regarding machine repair and professional behavior Ability to work well independently Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary for both internal and external contact Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan PLC troubleshooting experience Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required A 2-year degree in a maintenance related discipline or equivalent work experience
