George Fox University's Honors Program is looking for a team player to fill the role of Admissions Specialist. About the Job: This person will be responsible for managing recruitment, marketing, and admissions for the Honors Program, as well as coordinating alumni relations. Requirements include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, excellent customer service and sales skills, experience with PeopleSoft, Slate, Excel, and the Google Office Suite, and an evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the University's mission. The job is 35-hour workweek from Aug 15 - May 15 and 15 hours/week from May 16 - Aug 14 (.75 FTE) on the Newberg Campus. Overview of Job Responsibilities: Admissions and Recruitment Develop and implement a recruitment plan for prospective students Organize and manage recruitment events and coordinate participation of faculty and students Promote the Honors Program to prospective students and parents Coordinate applicant interviews, faculty assignments, and admission decisions Coordinate with various offices on campus and supervise interns Conduct recruitment trips and build relationships with high schools Marketing Strategize on ways to increase the number, quality, and diversity of Honors Program applicants Manage social media presence and create campaigns to advertise the program Maintain and update recruitment-related webpages Organize and conduct recruitment phonathons Oversee production of written materials for program marketing Data and Operational Management Process applications and manage recruitment information Track Honors program applications and maintain data integrity Provide admissions and student-specific data as needed Alumni Relations Develop a system for keeping updated alumni contact information Develop an annual alumni communications sequence and collect alumni-related data Invite alumni to program events when appropriate and coordinate alumni events For a full breakdown of duties, please download the job description.
