ABOUT THIS ROLE Responsible for full cycle accounts payable processing including three-way match and review of invoices against purchase orders and warehouse receiving records and posting invoices to a/p system. Initiate and review vendor payment runs for accuracy and compliance to company policies. Reconcile vendor monthly statements. File claims for government pricing support, pricing discrepancies, shipment shortages and other types of claims. Assist with month-end and year-end close for accruals and reconciliation. Communicate with internal customers and outside vendors regarding invoice inquiries/discrepancies and payment/claim status. Maintain an updated and accurate vendor database. Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives. Assist in documentation of AP policy and procedures. This position will work on special projects as directed by the A/P Supervisor and perform other tasks as needed. REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience or 2 years relevant work experience with a degree Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Accuracy and attention to details is a MUST Proven communication (verbal and written) skills including active listening and ability to explain things clearly and effectively both externally as well as internally. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is a must Use of ERP systems especially Microsoft Dynamics Nav software is preferred Excellent analytical skills Mathematical ability to reconcile invoice/purchase orders and vendor monthly statements Self-motivated and self-managed - confidence to think and work independently, but responsive to team environment and collaboration.
