Job Summary The primary goal is to provide exceptional service for the members and guests of The Hermitage Club. The Lift Operations Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the resort lift system, including oversight and management of all operational issues contained within or affecting the lift system. Job Tasks/Responsibilities After an orientation period and on-the-job-training, the successful candidate will be expected to; Assist with overseeing the day-to-day administration and supervision of the Lift Maintenance and Lift Operations Departments Establish best practices, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks accordingly Ensure a high level of service is provided for members, guests, and team members Perform routine inspections of all facilities and lifts to ensure they are in optimal operating condition Develop and maintain required and appropriate operational record keeping Maintain relations with outside agencies that pertain to Lift Maintenance and Lift Operations, including federal, state and local agencies Communicate to staff the short and long-range department plans, goals, and objectives Contribute to the development and long-range planning of lift operations. Job Requirements Previous ski industry experience with a strong reputation & understanding of lift operations and maintenance practices and concepts. 3 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience Prior lift operations and/or ski resort experience is a plus. Must be able to use sound judgement in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move 75 lbs or more Must be able to stand for long periods of time in adverse winter weather conditions Shovel snow for extended periods of time and clear chairs of snow with the lift operating Need to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing conditions
