POSITION SUMMARY This position performs a variety of professional level accounting duties such as preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position is also responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems as well as assisting in the preparation of assigned budgets, annual audit, and year end closing. Analyze income statement for budget variance. Prepares general ledger account and reconciliations and related journal entries. Reconciles monthly bank statements and provide weekly cash availability to accounts payable team. Reconciles monthly bank statements and has responsibility for cash management. Assists with year-end reporting including, but not limited to audits and annual filings. Maintains financial security by following internal controls and promoting ethical environment. Performs other duties as assigned. SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience) CPA certification not required PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently sit, stand and walk Regularly required to talk or hear Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS None The Elmington Experience We're creating a different kind of company at Elmington.
