Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Registered Medical Assistant helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Duties: Prepare patient for examination and assist provider with exam and procedure as needed Conduct patient intake and discharge according to policy and procedure. To ensure the best health outcome for our patients and their families Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics Prep chart accurately take age-appropriate vital signs Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab Perform simple wound care and dressing changes Assist provider with complex dressing changes Administers injections as ordered by the provider Administer nebulizer treatments as ordered Clean and decontaminate and set up the exam rooms Administer peak flow meter test for respiratory assessment Cleanse and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization Conduct patient tracking, and recall regarding abnormal tests Assist with medical emergencies as instructed (e.g. CPR, First aid) A Successful Candidate: Knowledge of information and techniques in providing excellent patient care Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as electronic transmission via facsimile and/or internet Good computer skills including the use of office procedures and terminology Good self-motivational and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work all health center sites Understanding of the complexities of integrating services Knowledge of data management through use of IT Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant. Valid registration as a Registered Medical Assistant in the State of Missouri preferred. Current CPR Certification Experience: 1-2 yrs of experience working in a Community Health Center/or Physician Office setting Other: Must have reliable transportation.
