Information Technology Manager

Description:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible for the overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain IBMi system to ensure operation system and CUMS are at current levels Perform quarterly maintenance and system saves of the IBMi and assure nightly backups are competed Oversee the development, design and implementation of new applications, updates to existing computer systems and software packages. Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment. Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and information security. Recommends information technology policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Primary IT contact for outside vendor bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions. Responsible for the maintenance, integrity and uninterrupted operations of all IT Systems. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all hardware equipment and software. Maintains quality standards by establishing and enforcing IT policies and procedures. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshop; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, etc. Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and outside resources. Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware, software, and all peripherals. Design programs and implement systems to meet the needs of the organizations needs. Create and maintain the appropriate documentation of all custom applications Provide educational instructions to end users to ensure efficient work processes REQUIRERMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five (5) year in a manufacturing environment Experience with Microsoft Windows Environments, Microsoft Exchange 2003, Internet Information Server, Microsoft Office, and other applications. Experience with installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of TCP/IP, networks supporting VOIP telephone, and other IT systems. Strong understanding of business and manufacturing processes Sound programming knowledge of RPG and Integrator Languages. Experience with MAPICS XA, Power-Link and other manufacturing and accounting applications. RBS is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
