Estimating Intern - Milestone Contractors Milestone Contractors, a member of The Heritage Group family of companies, is seeking an Estimating Intern that has an interest in Heavy Highway and Bridge construction. As a member of the Estimating team, this person will work closely with the Director of Estimating on a variety of projects and tasks focused on the generation of estimates and new business opportunities in the assigned market. This internship may be full or part-time, but full-time is preferred and will work from our Columbus office. Timeline: Paid Summer Internship: May - August with final dates determined by the student's availability Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc. Location: Milestone Contractors, LP 3410 S. 650 E, Columbus, IN 47203 Responsibilities: Assists with quotes generation Prepares and submits shop/structural drawings Computes various cost factors Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements Generates quantity take-off Communicates with internal/External Customers Answers inquiries via phone, email or in-person. Develops effective relationships with employees, peers and managers Provides highest levels of quality and service Demonstrates high levels of integrity and credibility through effective communication Promotes and maintains safe work environment. Education/Experience Requirements: HS Diploma or GED Currently enrolled in BS/BA program for Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Management or related field Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; advanced Excel and/or Sharepoint experience desired Technical aptitude and comfort in learning new software Must pass pre-employment drug screen and must adhere to drugfree workplace program Internships at The Heritage Group The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies.
