Head Lifeguard at the Lafayette YMCA (Full-Time)

The Lafayette YMCA is seeking a full-time, year-round Head Lifeguard for our indoor pool. Our new full time headguard will assist with pool leadership, staff management and aquatics operations covering a combination of day, evenings and weekend shifts up to 40 hours each week. As Headguard you will k eep our YMCA swimmers and families safe and our aquatics team on the ball . You'll ensure that the Y pool is a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn and build confidence in the water. You'll also assist in general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, chemical testing, problem solving and the training of new aquatics staff. Qualifications: Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR Certifications Minimum of 18 years of age Can consistently communicate to staff, members and program participants in a professional, positive tone. Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired Minimum of 3 years Lifeguard experience preferred Management or leadership experience preferred Salary range is $18.50-20.25/hr based on experience. This position is year-round, full-time hourly up to 40 hours per week. OUR BENEFITS ROCK. We are a family friendly organization that puts a focus on work-life balance, and our benefits prove it.
