We are looking for an experienced Network Admin ll to join our IT team. The Network Admin ll's role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and wireless network services. This position will be part of both the Support and Network team. Its main goal will be to support the team and the Senior Network Admin. In addition, the Network Admin ll will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must! Customer service skills, great work ethics, great attitude and great organizational skills are a must. Position Summary This position will need network administration knowledge, including backup, security management, email systems and application support while providing excellent internal and external customer service. This is not a remote position. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Implements and supports the telecommunication and network solutions necessary to meet the requirements of the organization in response to changes in the business, industry and technology standards. Uses a spectrum of personal and professional skills to install, update, maintain, test and document hardware/software solutions. The highly technical skills include Router, Switch, Firewalls, Wireless and VPN. Installs, configurations and update other equipment installs as well as the required documentation and maintenance for equipment. Install, setup, configure and monitor all of the necessary wiring, switches, routers etc., to create an effective and cost-efficient network. Communicate regularly with hardware/software vendors and with IT team. Acknowledge and abide by Information Security Policies. Compliance participate, evaluate system performance, diagnose problems and recommend improvements. Monitor network performance and availability using network monitoring hardware and software. Assist the Helpdesk Department with daily support calls. This includes having your own tickets to work on daily. Participate in the On-Call after hour support for software, hardware and networking issues. Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education Preferred: Bachelors degree (B.S/B.A) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration or related field, or some technical college courses preferred. Three to four years work experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure. In-depth experience in network application such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers Wireless and communication circuits. Experience/Skills/Abilities Required Excellent organizational and planning skills Network + Required CompTIA A+ Required NNCA (Certified Cisco Network Associate) a plus MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) VMWare certification a plus Attention to detail and accuracy Extremely resourceful and ability to show initiative; use internal resources to achieve desired results. Able to work independently on a broad variety of projects. Able to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations. Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work Ability to research, evaluate and analyze new techniques, methods and procedures Good professional appearance Confidentiality Work Environment/ Physical Demands Typical office environment- moderate noise level. The position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and or/hearing. Occasional lifting and /or moving up to 25 pounds.
