SNAP-ED NUTRITION EDUCATOR Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-tim e SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator for its Beaver , PA Power Up office. The pay for this position is $19.40/hour. Adagio Health serves women and their families in predominantly rural communities where access to healthcare services is scarce. Adagio Health's services include family planning and reproductive healthcare, breast and cervical cancer screenings and early detection programs, access to nutritional food, healthcare referrals, education and breastfeeding support to new moms, prenatal care, and education on topics such as healthy relationships and substance abuse. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NUTRITION EDUCATOR As a Snap-Ed Nutrition Educator your day will consist of providing Nutrition Education and promoting a healthy lifestyle to a diverse population in a variety of settings. Our program reaches preschool, school-age, adult and senior members in our communities. You will also team up with community partners as well as school leaders to help improve the wellness of those participating in our program through PSE projects and events. You work in a fast -paced, upbeat and energetic environment with the public that is never dull. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NUTRITION EDUCATOR BS degree in nutrition/dietetics or BS in a related field and 2+ years of program experience. Must pass PA criminal background check, FBI clearances, and child abuse clearances. Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide, and evaluate nutrition education programming. Experience in children's nutrition education in a school setting and in public health are desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
