We offer Primary Care, Walk-In Urgent Care, some Specialty Care - including Cardiovascular, Radiology & Imaging, Medical Laboratory, and more. •Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice • Greet, assess, and interview patients • File paperwork, lab slips, and insurance information into the medical charts • Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint, and brief interrogation of complaint • Act as a liaison between provider and patient • Update medication list and current problem list • Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by medical staff • Anticipate needs of patients and providers• Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure • Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent EMT duties• Maintain patient care areas • Stocking and ordering of supplies as needed, and maintaining clean exam rooms • Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures • Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem • Maintains patient confidentiality • Participate in training and skills development of new staff• Perform patient care in a variety of preliminary procedures, including but not limited to EKGs, vital signs, wound care, splinting, and more in accordance with provider orders• Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma• Knowledge of HIPAA. • Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services• BLS Certification or ability to obtain in first 90 days of employment• Experience with Computers and Electronic Health Record• Team player• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting• Prefer EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant training• Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience Skills and Abilities: • Skills utilizing computer systems experience.• Ability to interface with patients and family members/friends.• Ability to interface with a variety of personalities involving a variety of situations.• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and management. • Knowledge of various medical technologies and equipment associated with outpatient healthcare.• Knowledge of EMR preferred. Working Conditions: • Intermittent physical activity, including walking, standing, and supporting patients. • Intermittent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and ability to adjust vision for close visualization-oriented tasks. • Work is performed in an indoor environment and with both natural and artificial lighting.• Potential exposure to airborne dust, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. • Exposure to patients in various states of hygiene and emotional condition.• Potential risk of exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens and bodily fluids.• Potential exposure to communicable viruses, disease, and infection.• Potential traumatic medical situations or patients experiencing pain or discomfort.• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._____________________________________________________________________________Please apply online.Please no telephone calls.Please no faxing, mailing, or hand-delivering resumes.
