Our mapping projects begin with a team of Pilots and Aerial Sensor Operators who acquire digital imagery flying over much of the United States--you will see much of the country from a new perspective! As an Aerial Sensor Operator, you will be fully responsible for all aspects of sensor operation, data collection, and maintenance. You'll coordinate mission planning with fellow flight crew members and communicate with project managers on status updates. Full training provided. Education, Experience and Abilities: Required: 1+ years' aviation-related, military drone operation, photography, or GIS experience. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and Passport (or ability to obtain a passport within three months of hire). Proficient verbal and written English communication skills. Experience using computer and managing files, including data uploads. Cell phone with texting capabilities. Personal Credit Card with $3,000 available credit to procure commercial flights, hotel, meals, and rental cars. Weekly reimbursement is made upon submission of expense report. Ability to pass DOT drug tests. Preferred: 2+ years' aviation-related, GIS, photography, or military drone operation experience. College coursework in aviation, GIS, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. Requirements for this Role: Must be able to work a schedule of 15 days on duty with 6 days off. Must live in the St. Louis Metro area or be willing to relocate. Must pass criminal background check and have a clean driving record. Must have US Passport or ability to obtain one. Employer sponsorship to work in the U.S. is not available for this position. Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to sit in a plane for up to six (6) hours at a time. Ability to input data using a computer keyboard and manipulate small equipment parts. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment and supplies. Ability to adapt to changing temperatures, noise, light, and altitude. Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random and post-accident drug test. Ability to reach, climb, bend and stretch. This full-time, non-exempt position pays $20/hour ; overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base rate is available for hours worked over 40 during a pay week. This position works a rotating schedule of 15 days on in a row (generally out of town) followed by 6 days off.
