Operations Business Process Analyst

Description:
The Operations Business Process Analyst partners with leadership to model a culture of innovation, positive communication, and division efficiencies. Responsible for system administration for the division through proactive identification and implementation of existing process enhancements and/or creation of new automated processes. Will liaise with vendors, Business Information Services (BIS), and other business units for continual analysis of application usage with the focus on adding value to all business processes. Will also identify and articulate issues with current processes and have a clear understanding of the impact of changes to the process. Leads discussions, project meetings and trainings with key stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Business process analysis and implementation Gain in-depth understanding of division business strategy, processes, and services. Work closely with process owners to identify and implement process improvements, especially to develop efficiencies between technology and business processes. Maintain a record of supplemental tools used to complete daily processing. Troubleshoot and fix tools when issues arise and complete changes when improvements are identified or requested. Work closely with BIS as needed to improve and automate existing processes. Develop visual process maps for existing and new key divisional processes and procedures. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on specified divisional projects. Provide training through both formal and informal training programs as needed. Organizational effectiveness Partner with leadership to model a culture of innovation within the organization. Support team leads and others in collaboration, communication, and facilitation of change. Encourage cross-divisional collaboration and communication regarding process change and implementation. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and applications, map data used within processes and applications, and develop strategies for improving processes to further leverage existing applications and data. Assist in the development and implementation of division strategy that aligns business processes with business development goals. Assist in the development of formal training programs, team organization and development and other divisional strategies and tools. Remain current on new developments in business process enhancements and process automation tools which may impact the company. System administration Serve as liaison for vendor support requests. Facilitate software upgrades. Set up and maintain user logins and password reset requests. Custom report generation and modification Straight-through processing (STP) development, maintenance, and support Create positive relationships with all employees. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, computer science, or related field of study and minimum 2 years in project management and/or banking process improvements or equivalent education and experience preferred. Possesses understanding of application programming, database and system design. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of banking/trust systems preferred. Exposure to or experience with coding language, including VBA and SQL. Proven experience in process re-engineering. Proven success in managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong facilitation, project management and mentoring experience.
