Sante Health System is seeking to hire an Ultrasound Technician at our busy medical office site, Women's Specialty Fertility Center (WSFC) in the Fresno, CA area. You will play a critical role in ultrasound diagnostic tests for our patients. QUALIFICATIONS High school/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience Graduation from a school of Radiology Technology or Nursing Minimum of six months Ultrasonographic experience or graduation from an AMA approved program in Ultrasonography with certification in diagnostic ultrasound CRT, ARRT or RN license RDMS (Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography) preferred. Women's healthcare experience preferred. Candidates should have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint area of imaging. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in operating ultrasound equipment. Skill in taking vital signs. Skill in maintaining records and recording test results. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures Room patients Give patient instructions based on ultrasound results as directed by the provider Schedule patients for ultrasound and other related procedures Make hard copy images and document tests Maintain accurate ultrasound records, reports and files Keep work area clean Attend required meetings and participate in committees, as requested Participate in staff development and educational activities Maintain patient confidentiality In the spirit of teamwork, employees are expected to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested.
