**SIGN-ON BONUS OF $7,500 for Full-time Positions** General Information: Job title: Radiological Technologist Available Positions/Schedules: Full-Time, 80 hours per pay period; 8:00am to 4:30pm PRN - Scheduled as needed (weekends and holiday rotations do not apply to this position) Weekend Rotation: Rotating Holidays Weekend shift differential is available Holiday Rotation: 2 holidays a year Position Summary: Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures for radiologic diagnostics and assists physicians in a selection of practical applications and technical factors. Position Responsibilities: Operates radiation producing equipment including stationary, portable, fluoroscopy, and C-arm. Select, set and adjust proper technique to the patient's physical condition, patient size, patient age or suspected pathology. Performs necessary clerical work by assuring proper scheduling, correct exam, prior authorization, obtaining prior report/scan, patient lab values, and review of clinic notes. Follows physicians' orders and radiologist protocols. Positions, transfers, and properly immobilizes patients as required. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions. Assist Radiologists and other physicians in the performance of biopsies, and Interventional procedures. Assume responsibility for sterile technique procedures and contrast requested by radiologist. Assist physicians and prepare supplies and special trays. Monitors the condition of the patients within the department and assists the radiologist or other provider in performing needed medical attention such as first aid and BLS. Processes, views, and approves the technical quality of each film within QA guidelines, pertinent to patient/procedures to obtain optimal images for diagnosis. Exercise responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of facility reports, database records and logs. Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Assume responsibility for proper and efficient operation of all equipment. Recognize potential equipment problems of malfunction, and notifies pertinent team members. Orders and maintains adequate supplies. Assists with orientation and ongoing education for employees, students and other health care professionals within the department. Maintains compliance with continuing medical education requirements through professional journals, on the job training and other educational opportunities. Perform examination on call outside of normal business hours on a rotating basis including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of call back. Determines qualifications who use equipment and administer procedures under the direction of the Radiologist. Other duties as assigned within scope, responsibility and certification of position. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology Wisconsin state licensure ARRT certification BLS within 3 months of hire Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist is required CT certification preferred Required Skills: Good sense of organization Strong customer service skills Strong communication skills Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Ability to adapt to change with a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives Job Posted by ApplicantPro
