Engineering Technologist Asplundh Engineering Services Charlotte, NC, USA This is a position for Distribution Design Engineering Technologist 1, 2 or 3. The purpose of this position is to gain knowledge or design projects in the electrical industry by delivering safe, clear, and technical designs that match customer standards. Applicants will ultimately demonstrate the ability to effectively master Duke Energy systems in an effort to deliver work ready job plans to construction crews. Position will have some supervision and guidance but will require a self-driven individual who can manage workload independently after training. Expeditor Entry level, no experience or degree required Starting Salary Range - $43,680 Engineer Technologist 1 Required Specifications Associates degree in Engineering Technology OR Minimum 1 year related experience Starting Salary Range - $47,840 Engineer Technologist 2 Required Specifications 3+years prior experience in distribution planning OR less experience with the combination of engineering technology education Starting Salary Range - $64,480 Engineer Technologist 3 Required Specifications 6+years prior experience in distribution planning OR less experience with the combination of engineering technology education Starting Salary Range - $81,120 Basic Duties and Responsibilities for all positions Always maintain a safe working environment including on site in office and out in the field via an ever-changing environment Gather and analyze all appropriate field and technical information to provide turnkey product to customers Utilize customer standards to deliver, develop, and implement cost effective designs Work Alongside Peers to identify and obtain appropriate permitting from city and other municipalities when required Coordinate with construction crews if further information is required to complete job Perform field work as needed to perform designs Maintain effective communication with peers to help facilitate larger customer driven jobs Work in time efficient manner to adhere to company driven benchmarks in an effort to avoid construction delays Must pass a drug screening test CAD'ing skills a plus but not required. (AutoCAD, microstation) An applicant can assume that this position will grow with time and experience, ultimately future opportunities stem from increased autonomy and experience applying tasks above.
