Job Summary: Directly responsible for: preparation of ala carte foods for the hotel restaurant; insures consistent quality; and follows all hotels Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety procedures. This individual is required to be detailed oriented; works well in a fast paced team environment and enjoys serving guests in a positive, friendly and courteous manner. including, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control and sanitation and cleanliness LABELING AND DATING OF ALL PRODUCTS PREPPED AND KEPT IN COOLERS ON THE HOT LINE AND WALKIN COOLERS. Job Duties: Insure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. Fill in where needed to insure guest service standards and efficient operations are accomplished. Insure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs. Insure that all products are prepped according to predetermined product specifications. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures. Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation practices. Responsible for following and maintaining of assigned cleaning tasks for kitchen i.e. floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas. Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points. Responsible for proper opening and closing procedures locking of gates, coolers etc. Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter in a fast paced environment Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Job Posted by ApplicantPro
