Baltimore Country Club of Roland Park, MD is looking to hire a full-time Pastry Cook to help our kitchen staff prepare delicious cakes, bread, cookies, and other great deserts for our loyal members. ABOUT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. Just one year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth United States Open Championship. Our culinary team prides itself on being able to produce a large variety of culinary items in house, including house made bacon, corned beef, barbeque sauce, apple butter and maple syrup to name a few items! When it comes to the Pastry side of the kitchen, things are no different! The Pastry team is able to produce bread, celebration cakes, brownies, homemade ice cream, and a variety of cookies, all with exciting flares that create lasting memories for our Members and guests which in return make BCC a favorite place for all! QUALIFICATIONS This position requires somebody who is able to easily follow directions and recipes, as well as the ability to maintain an organized workspace by storing ingredients, cleaning the workspace, and informing the Pastry Chef if ingredients are running low. At least 2-3 years of previous pastry/baking experience is required. Do you work well as part of a team? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Do you have good communication skills and the ability to memorize information easily? Can you read and follow directions well? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced environment?
