ABOUT THIS ROLE While working closely with our locations, managers and human resources, the audit, compliance, and safety manager is an integral part of our operations team. The audit, compliance, and safety manager is responsible for ensuring our team members "work safe home safe everyday". The audit, compliance, and safety manager will oversee and manage all environmental health and safety, compliance, and audit functions and create and implement systems. This person will be passionate about safety, developing new processes and programs, educating, and training, and helping instill a safety culture amongst our teams. The manager will be a champion for safety within the organization. DUTIES INCLUDE Safety orientation of all new hires and regularly training all team members Responsible for compliance with regulatory agencies Responsible for Tire Industry Association compliance Responsible for conducting trainings and certifying team members in various programs/courses Maintaining the training database within our HCM platform Manage safety and DOT compliance, DMV EPN Program, and ensure drivers meet program requirements Manage East Bay Tire specific programs to promote safety culture Perform audits of locations to ensure compliance and safety standards Prepare and maintain all program compliance documents, update as required Attend trainings and stay current on laws, policies, enforcement, and procedures relevant to East Bay Tire business/industry Maintain insurance and registration for East Bay Tire fleet of vehicles Inspections of facilities and coordinate with additional entities for inspections Manage workers compensation, auto-accident, and property claims Travel required to all East Bay Tire locations (travel around 60%) Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Occupation Health and Safety, Health, Business, or a related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in safety, compliance, or related field, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing industry Safety certifications desired Bilingual Preferred Familiarity with the tire industry ideal Demonstrated organizational capabilities, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude Self-motivated and self-starter Excellent time management skills Ability to identify and resolve issues or problems. Ability to lift 75 lbs. on occasion Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, carry, push, pull, and bend constantly. Work is conducted indoor offices and onsite job site settings. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft 365 Products, Adobe Suite Products, DocuSign, and various other software suites LOCATION This position will work out of our corporate office in Fairfield, California.
