Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: 11012 Aurora-Hudson Road, Streetsboro, OH 44241 Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Manager Starting Pay Rate: Hourly: $28.00 - $32.00 The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic to advanced equipment maintenance tasks and facility services with minimal supervision according to an outlined plan. Major responsibilities and activities include, but are not limited to the following: Responsibilities: Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of all vehicles and associated equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and trucks. Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of plant equipment including but not limited to manual machine tools, CNC machines, power tools, hand tools, saws, presses, lifting devices, overhead cranes, and compressed air system. Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of facility buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: HVAC systems, plumbing and sewer, lighting, gates, fencing, office furniture. Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild and repair a wide variety of manufacturing equipment Perform daily maintenance tasks for the machines Record parts or materials used and requisition new parts or materials as necessary Support staff in moving and organizing production and office areas Provide support and assist with project work directed by the plant leadership team or project leads Punctual and regular attendance Abide by company policies Understand and follow all workplace safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures and support required safety check systems Occasionally pick-up and delivery of maintenance repair and project parts; including coordination of ordered materials and logistics of payment Monthly checks of Fire extinguishers, Exit lighting, Riser valves General facilities maintenance as required. (plumbing, structural, etc.) Operate equipment in a safe and orderly manner Maintain clean and organized work space Train additional staff as needed to perform duties Perform additional manufacturing duties as needed Qualifications/Requirements: Intermediate to advanced ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical problems on various production equipment Must be capable of reading and understanding electrical schematics and diagrams Basic working knowledge of programmable ladder logic (PLC) Electrician skills including correct wiring practices, replacement of electrical components including push buttons, breakers, motor starters and field sensors Ability to perform and communicate electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in work assignments Ability to operate fork lifts and scissor lifts Ability to interpret parts manuals Proficient in electrical test and diagnostic equipment Must be able to read blueprints, CAD drawings, sketches, written instructions, and interpret data Experience in job shop environment with rapid changeovers and short cycle times a plus Understanding of moderate to complex product configurations Ability to work independently and within a team Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization Self-motivated and striving for perfection Must have enthusiasm for what you do Valid Driver's License with no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years required Experience / Education: Two (2) year degree or certificate in industrial maintenance and/or equivalent work experience High School diploma or equivalent Fork lift certification preferred but not required - must be able to complete fork lift certification course as specified by company Production / manufacturing experience Above average math and organizational skills Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds with help. The employee is required to be able to get in and out of and drive a tow motor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires special safety precautions such as working around moving parts, machines or with irritant chemicals. Employees are required to use protective clothing or gear. May work in an area that is uncomfortable due to temperature, noise levels, or other conditions. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with one half hour for unpaid lunch.
