Job Title: Accounting Manager Job Status : Full Time Reports to : Vice President of Operations Revision date : March 22, 2023 Summary We are looking for a manager to supervise and oversee daily operations of the accounting department. The Accounting Manager will be responsible to collect, analyze, verify and report on the company's financial status. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Monthly and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue/expenditure variance analysis, and reconciliations. Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy. Streamline processes to assist in job-level decision making with a focus on job-level profitability. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements. Create, maintain, and analyze internal and external financial reporting. Establish/enforce proper accounting methods and policies. Coordinate and complete annual audits. Maintain fiscal files and financial records. Assist in other operational functions and perform additional assignments as directed. Required Education and Experience Minimum Bachelor's degree in a Business or Construction-related field. Excellent analytical & Excel skills Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills Accuracy, attention to detail and thorough in completing required work tasks Proficiency with accounting related programs and Microsoft Office Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability to pass a criminal background screen & pre-employment drug test Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
