JOB DETAILS Mitchell Hamline School of Law is seeking to hire a full-time Custodian/Maintenance. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for m aintaining the physical interior and appearance of the overall campus that the building remains a safe, healthy and professional environment. The Custodian/Maintenance will also assist in room setup and takedown for a variety of campus and community events, perform snow removal and salting. Additionally, the Custodian/Maintenance will maintain the School's grounds and landscaping, minor repairs, paining, performance maintenance on lighting systems, and other project work as assigned. Prerequisite : To be eligible for this position, you must have obtained a High school diploma or General Equivalency Diplomas (GED); AND a v alid Minnesota driver's license and in good standing ; AND at least six (6) months of relevant professional experience in general building maintenance and custodial operations. Knowledge/Skill/Ability : Knowledge of cleaning, cleaning supplies and chemicals and snow removal equipment. Knowledge of procedures involved in buildings and grounds. Ability to work irregular shifts (nights/day) and under adverse weather conditions. Ability to recognize hazards and take safety precautions to eliminate them and report them to Supervisor. Follow guidelines for chemical use per right to know, including proper storage of chemicals. Display high standards of ethical conduct. Demonstrate a commitment to quality service. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Other Information : This position is a union position.
