Summary Delivers direct service to ELITechGroup internal and external customers and assists Service Engineering Manager with duties essential to creating and maintaining service documentation and parts inventory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides product service and operational assistance to customers. Ensures proper operation of ELITechGroup products at the customer's locations. Completes service calls according to the service plan; troubleshoots, coordinates, schedules, prepares and processes paperwork. Identifies the best methodology to fix the problems at the lowest possible cost. Decides what parts to have stocked by effectively maintaining an inventory of repair parts. Processes the return or disposal of defective parts effectively. Provides assistance to other field service engineers in the field and report on field activity and training needs. Communicates with the Technical Support call center and Sales and Marketing team regarding customer dissatisfaction, product problems, customer status changes, product improvement, and competitive information in an effort to prevent future concerns. Applies effective time and territorial management techniques and organizes cost effective travel plans. Provides extended hour coverage and can travel outside of normal work hours when required. Timely submits required reports and documents. Promotes service agreements to customers. Maintains a professional and positive demeanor to customers. Assists with gathering technical information for document creation and also helping to manage spare parts inventory housed in Bothell, WA headquarters. Assists with related special projects, as required. Judgment - ability to work independently; displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions. Oral Communication - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. Reasoning Ability - a bility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Qualifications Associates or electronics degree with five or more years' experience field service, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment Ability to travel up to 80% of the time on short notice if required. Highly desirable to live in major metro area within territory with easy access to an airport.
