Capital Technical Resources, LLC is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safe Special Test Rider to perform testing on motorcycles that requires a very high degree of skill and concentration of the Special Test Rider. Accuracy and consistency are essential. This position will work under the general direction of the Emissions Lab personnel at this test facility. The Special Test Rider will be held accountable for delivering the following: Perform with expertise, accuracy, and consistency on all tests conducted in the emissions lab. Proficiency is assessed for every test conducted. He/she will make observations of vehicle performance and characteristics and would be required to record observations in logs or electronic data systems as requested. Conduct riding takes inside a climate-controlled dyno room that is both loud and windy due to cooling fans. Follow specific series of operations following a trace on a computer screen. Accurately report mechanical failures or problems to Emissions Lab personnel as needed and appropriate. Participate in training courses provided by Capital Technology Resources to enhance the employee skills. This could include, but is not limited to, Rider safety training, Advanced Rider training and computer training. Job Requirements & Qualifications A high school diploma or GED certificate is required. A valid driving license with motorcycle endorsement. Motorcycle Safety Foundation Experienced Rider Certification is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of motorcycle riding experience with a proven history of testing of at least 2 years. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Must demonstrate good team skills, and the ability to work with and learn from others. Must be willing to travel off site. Overnight travel may be deemed necessary. Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested. Preferred A basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and performance criteria. Previous supervisor or leadership exposure a plus. Safety Must be able to safely maneuver and operate heavyweight motorcycles. Must be able to lift motorcycle weight from parked position to upright riding position. Coordination of normal mental dexterity and visual attention. Must have good vision, hearing and motor skills. Requires mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time in conditions that could include temperature extremes and wet conditions. Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free.
