AOS is seeking a Manager, Foundry Procurement to support the growth of our Wide Bandgap business unit. The Senior Manager, Foundry Procurement owns the overall operational and commercial relationship with foundries, coordinates with internal back-end or OSAT manufacturing partners as well as internal teams across the organization to successfully roll out and deliver wide band gap products to customers, define foundry strategies/cost roadmap with solid execution to those strategies over the entire product life cycle, support production lot in/out from foundries/OSAT to final products. Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties: Act as resident expert for the assigned commodity, manage all commercial and operational aspects of the products, engagement strategy, and performance of Wafer Foundries, and Wafer service suppliers. Lead/drive day-to-day Foundry/OSAT Supply Chain operation of the products by working with internal team and/or suppliers. Supplier development and management of supply chain Capacity / Quality / New Product Qualification. Measuring supplier performance, including Yield, SPC Quality Control, Defect Deduction, FMEA, APQP. Assess markets, leverage competition and assist in negotiating supplier agreements to provide to long-term supply assurance, pricing, and competitive advantages to the company. Interface to and commercial engagement with Wafer Foundries/Service for all RFI, RFP and RFQ activities. Assist or co-own commercial aspects of operational tasks such capacity, continuity of supply, risk management. Lead the evaluation process of supplier selection with evaluation team and drive the closure of a sourcing decision. Develop negotiation strategy and approach, acceptable terms and conditions and lead the negotiation team through to closure. Competitive Benchmarking: Identify key benchmark suppliers in RF-x efforts. Partner to identify evaluation criterion and provide relevant data and recommendations back to internal team. Cost Calculation: Understand/calculate the fundamental cost of Foundry based on process node and yield. Own and provide market and actual unit and total cost data which feeds into cost models of AOS products. Measure, report, and drive continuous supplier improvement in purchase price and total cost, including supply chain performance cost as compared to market pricing. Formulate strategic forecasts and drive cost reduction / capacity commitment / yield / quality / FMEA with suppliers. Qualifications (Academic, Experience, Skills, etc.): BA/BS in Engineering/Science or equivalent with min. 8+ years supply chain/procurement experience, preferably working with foundries & assembly and test suppliers in semiconductor industry. FAB integration process experience is a plus. MBA and/or advanced degree is a plus. Excellent analytical experience and demonstrated experience influencing and guiding teams to deliver results. Experience in improving supply chain and supplier performance, including the use of cost models and objective based performance measurement, Experience in contracts and contract negotiations, contract strategy development and execution. Experience in influencing at all levels including senior leadership. Track record of collaboration and delivering results in a cross functional environment is required. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills on commercial and process technology. Excellent interpersonal skills with a penchant for teamwork. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, with ability to drive large and complex projects to closure independently. Trouble-shooting skills for ensuring the quality / capacity and delivery of supply chain.
