Admissions Intake Coordinator - Inpatient

The Intake Coordinator works in the Admissions Office here at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, as well as the Emergency Departments for Penn State Hershey Medical Center and UPMC Harrisburg Hospital, to processes referral calls and ensure patients receive the behavioral health services or resource that best address their needs based on the clinical information provided. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field required. One to two years' experience in a mental health setting required. Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills. Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Basic computer skills required. The Admissions Office here at PPI is staffed 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. The PPI Admissions office is currently looking for an individual to work an 8hr Day Shift (7:00am-3:30pm) five times per week (40 total hours worked per week, would need to work every other weekend).
