Michigan Millers Insurance is pleased to announce the opportunity to join our Audit team as a Premium Auditor in our Lansing office. This exciting opportunity is the perfect chance for someone who is interested in continuing to expand their career in the Insurance Industry with a company that is currently rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best. This position will establish appropriate Property/Casualty Commercial Lines classifications, exposures and basis of premium. As a Premium Auditor, responsibilities may include: Conduct audits of selected Commercial Lines adjustable policies, ensuring proper risk classification and exposure. This may include reviewing the insured's business operation, including examining, verifying and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial/business records. Examine reported state test audit differences, identifies the audit discrepancies and responds to test audit inquiries within established due dates. Update underwriting with any operational, classification and/or large exposure changes or any facts that may affect the insurability of an account. Work closely with underwriting, claims and loss control staff to share information and to analyze and summarize findings. Keep up to date on changes and current information relative to premium auditing through industry-related literature. Research, identify, and communicate industry, regulatory, and legal changes including best practices and process improvements. Review completed monthly interim audits completed by Audit Associate for accuracy. Assist Audit Associate with questions from brokers and policy holders with questions concerning completed audits and audit billings. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Decision making guided by general instructions and practices requiring interpretation Automatically makes decisions on routine issues Makes recommendations to solve more complex problems Education: Bachelor's degree in Insurance or Finance; experience in lieu of degree acceptable Preferred Skills: Prior Premium Auditing Experience Visual Audit system experience/knowledge Our Benefits Package Includes: 401(k) company matching Standard employee benefits - including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and more Employer paid Short-Term and Long- Term disability 100% company-paid tuition reimbursement for approved, job relevant coursework **Michigan Millers Insurance is an equal opportunity employer.
