Florence Corporation, the leading manufacturer of postal specialty products and electronic package kiosks, located in Manhattan, KS, is seeking to fill three Engineering Intern positions. These interns will be members of the Florence Corporation Engineering Team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The skills required for this position include: Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, SolidWorks, AutoCAD Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering General tasks for this position: Time study existing processes to define labor standards Utilize existing time study data to estimate labor standards for future product Create process work instructions Participate in Production floor layout design Participate in work station layout/design Implement new processes and the tools and equipment for those process The number of hours per week and actual working days are flexible, and will be balanced around the academic needs of the student. Florence is seeking students that can work 10 hours per week during the standard semester and 40 hours per week during the summer. Florence plans to fill 3 Engineering Intern positions.
