Senior Field Service Technician Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Chelsea, Massachusetts The MWRA is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to locate water leaks in MWRA Distribution System and for MWRA communities; perform flow tests for meter testing; locate and mark out leak locations of MWRA water mains; assist in training personnel of MWRA communities in methods of leak detection. The work includes p erforming leak detection of MWRA Distribution System through use of leak correlator, of leak correlate and sonic leak apparatus and other leak detection equipment; o pening manholes and valve boxes in the MWRA Distribution System to inspect for deficiencies; c onnecting and collecting data from pressure recorders and gauges; operating hydrants, manual air valves, and corporation stops as necessary to connect pressure recorders and gauges; p reparing a variety of written reports for MWRA and MWRA communities including survey, progress and leak site reports; c ollecting field data from in-house valve replacements and leak sites including sketches with distance ties to newly installed equipment and leaks. This position requires b asic reading, writing, mathematical and oral communication skills as normally attained through a high school education or equivalent required; Associate's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred; and t wo (2) to four (4) years of waterworks or underground utility construction experience preferably in water distribution systems; or a ny equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operators License is required. Internal applicants should apply using the Pipeline and external applicants should apply through www.mwra.com .
