Description:
Full Time: Administers ionizing x-radiation in the diagnostic range to produce high diagnostic imaging in accordance with New York State Department of Health, Federal Department of Health and Human Services guidelines and regulations. Assists the radiologist during contrast media and fluoroscopic procedures. Prepares contrast media for administration. Utilizes other imaging modalities such as portable fluoroscopy, CT, mammography and diagnostic ultrasound as qualified and required. Processes digital images and utilizes PACS and RIS systems. Provides radiation protection to patients, hospital staff and medical staff. Assists with quality control/quality assurance and minor maintenance of imaging equipment. Shall be oriented in the appropriate care handling of patients from all age groups. Assists with radiology department office procedures. Performs on-call duties as required. Graduate of accredited radiology school with NYS license and ARRT required. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
