Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire a Field Inspection Technician who will be responsible for identifying mosquito breeding sites and applying larvicide if needed, to control mosquito populations. Hands-on training will be provided in all areas, no experience needed. This position is perfect for someone who is interested in public health, sustainability, learning different aspects of mosquito operations and enjoys working independently outdoors . WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY Starting wage of $16/hr Average of 40 hours per week 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday- Thursday (Fridays as needed, end times may vary based on business needs) Supports the summer seasonal operations (generally April - September) Depending on location/commute, personal vehicle may be used and a .65.5 cent mileage reimbursement will be provided ** Are you looking for a modified schedule, we might be able to offer an adjusted work schedule until the end of our season! QUALIFICATIONS OF A FIELD INSPECTION TECHNICIAN Be 18 years of age or older Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms Required to pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided) Must be able to operate a smart phone device and apps. Comfortable walking through various and sometimes challenging terrain Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance (if applicable) Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
