Village Manor is Bowling Green's distinguished and award-winning senior living community offering a full continuum of care - independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing at our Christian Health Center. Title: Scheduler Shift: Days Status: Full Time Department: Nursing Administration It is the dedication, skill & compassion of our extraordinary employees who allow us to live out our mission every day. Requirements for a Scheduler: High school diploma or (GED) 2 years of related experience Certified Medical Technician (CMT) and/or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long-term care setting - Preferred Responsibilities for a Scheduler: Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks in advance. Ensures timely Certified Nurse Aide (CNAs) assignments to meet the needs of new admissions as well as existing residents. Maintains schedule on a daily basis of any staffing changes or resident status changes and communicates accordingly. Facilitates the timely completion of paperwork and data entry pertinent/necessary to fulfill job duties. Maintains tracking system for CNA annual license renewal and communicates to the Kentucky Board of Nursing, health center nursing administration, and the human resources department. Maintains a current listing of employee contact numbers for call-in. Keeps a pool of replacements and coordinates vacations and time-off requests. Maintains a record of employees who miss shifts; produces reports. Notifies the Director of Nursing or designee of short staffing situations; contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedules when required. Coordinates time-off request with DON or designee. Coordinates with DON or designee to secure contract labor when necessary. Communicates with residents and their families/caregivers, and with healthcare professionals and outside vendors. Communicates staff assignments to managers and staff. Demonstrates knowledge of the computer software program and of proper documentation procedures. Personifies outstanding customer service to co-workers, clients, and vendors by acting as a subject matter resource in a timely, considerate, and friendly manner, always maintaining the "Golden Rule" approach; practices patience and kindness.
