Cook Full Time - Evenings (11 am - 7:30 pm) **Pay Rate up to $18/hour; based on experience** Jennings | Life As It Should Be. At Jennings, each person helps to nurture our values-based culture. Requirements for Cooks: Experience as a cook in a healthcare desirable, preferably long term care. Completion of food service sanitation course or inservices desirable. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Responsibilities for a Cook: Handle and prepare food. Prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance. Follow oral and written directions. Follow written menus and recipes. Understand therapeutic diets. Prepare food items in accordance with therapeutic diets. Responsible for avoiding food waste. Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules. Responsible for use and care of food service equipment. Work cooperatively with food service staff and other departments. Attend inservice training programs for Dining Services staff members.
