Surgical Technician/LPN

Schuyler Hospital is looking for a devoted full time Surgical Technician. This position will be Monday-Friday, day shift. The Surgical Technician will be in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, performs the functions of a Surgical Technician in planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned patient care regardless of age. Employee will be accountable for all patient care during their shift. Employee will assist in management of supplies and equipment in the unit. Employee will promote teamwork within the unit and with other departments. Regulatory Requirements: Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room preferred. Licensure: Graduate of a certified Operating Technician school or LPN with current NYS license Certification: Obtains and maintains current BLS certification. Physical Requirements: For physical demands of position, including vision, hearing, repetitive motion and environment, see following description. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages desirable. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
