Job Description Toft Dairy is currently looking to fill a full-time position in our Freezer Department. The successful candidate for the Freezer Loader position will work Monday - Friday. Hours vary between 6 AM and 5 PM, or later depending on factors such as work load, vacations, and call-offs. After successful completion of 60 day probationary period, you will be eligible for Medical Insurance and Supplemental Insurance (AFLAC) for vision and dental. After 1 year of employment, vacation time, sick pay, holiday pay are available. Profit sharing/401(k) with Company Match is also offered after 6 months of employment. THE ROLE: Freezer Loader is responsible for filling orders (order picking), monitoring production line and moving of product, stocking freezer (warehousing), shipping/receiving. Must be able to withstand cold (-30F) temperatures for up to 30 minutes at a time. Must provide own cold weather apparel such as Carhartt's, thermal socks, warm gloves, coats, and hats. Therma gloves are provided. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to push/pull heavy loads (pallet jack, 2-wheel hand cart) Standing for long periods of time are required Maintaining a clean work environment is critical Punctuality is required. Being routinely late to work and/or routinely calling off of work, especially during probationary period, is unacceptable. Ability to perform required tasks safely, in a fast paced work environment; ensuring food safety, quality and efficiency standards are achieved Positive attitude; a passion for quality food and ice cream a plus! QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: Forklift experience (required) High School Diploma or Equivalent Strong attention to detail and good work ethic Effective math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of weight and volume measurements. Ability to multi-task while remaining calm and working effectively under pressure Ability to communicate effectively in the English language; speak, understand, and read written and verbal instructions, policies and procedures Ability to work well with others General Safety and Food Safety knowledge/experience preferred Order picking/warehousing skills preferred Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Toft Dairy contains office, manufacturing and outdoor work spaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, climb, bend, and twist; Frequently lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. is also required; occasional lifting/transferring of objects may be required with assistance up to 75 lbs This positions also requires a person to handle environments of different temperatures and with various food allergens present. This job is not for everyone as the work-environment is fast-paced, demanding, and performed in a freezer warehouse. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $13.00 /hour
