Director of Commercial Lending Reach Business Lenders is a partner of the Wisconsin Credit Union League and has an immediate opening for a Director of Commercial Lending. Th is position will be accountable and responsible for providing Wisconsin Credit Unions with quality commercial loan assets by generating and closing high quality commercial loans and assisting with servicing tasks. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Understand the needs and preferences of participating Credit Unions to target desirable commercial lending opportunities, maintain awareness of credit risk parameters and appetite for new volume. Prospect Wisconsin Credit Unions to become RBL participant credit unions, as originators or buyers of participations. Represent RBL with credit unions and facilitate development of credit union staff through advice and training on commercial lending as needed. Maintain communications and relationships with credit unions to ensure satisfaction of services received and enhance future business potential. Assist credit union in maintaining member relationships and awareness of future opportunities and current servicing issues. Oversee loan servicer and portfolio manager with risk monitoring, loan modification and renewal requests. Facilitate member loyalty and encourage additional business or referrals as appropriate. Perform Loan Review services as needed. Job Specific Results: Develop and implement business development plans to generate commercial loans for RBL and participating credit unions. Understand the credit risk profile of both RBL and likely Credit Union funders, and prospect for loans that are likely to meet these standards. Screen incoming opportunities to assure alignment with credit risk standards prior to submission. Maintain an accurate sense of market, understanding participating credit union needs as well as the competitive landscape. Represent RBL and the credit union industry in various events and activities to both generate loans and contribute to positive perceptions of credit union capability and commitment. Ensure appropriate compliance with Credit Union and lending regulations. The successful candidate must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position is primarily measured by the quantity of loans originated and the quality of the origination experience received by borrowers, and as perceived by the credit unions, the added value contributed by the loan officer toward that experience. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three to five years of commercial lending experience is required. Demonstrated ability to formulate and carry-out corporate strategic priorities within established policies and financial boundaries. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Knowledge of credit union operations is a plus. Position requires some in-state travel to support member and borrower needs. This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days a week in the Madison, WI office. Requires in-state travel (20-25%).
