Hours: 3PM - 11PM JOB SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains industrial equipment such as building HVAC, motors, pneumatics, and production related roll to roll converting equipment. Fabricates mechanical components such as industrial brackets and stands. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to weld and fabricate steel and aluminum parts. Ability to operate a drill press, grinder, lathe, and mill. Ability to change out electrical and mechanical parts such pumps and motors. Ability to rebuild mechanical parts such pumps. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings / blueprints. Must be familiar with the use of hand tools such as a drill, a grinder, wrenches, screw drivers, etc. Familiar with the use of electrical measuring devices such as a multi-meter, clamp meter...etc. Work with production to identify and correct equipment failures and/or other mechanical/electrical issues. Perform other duties as assigned. MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (QMS/EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate, or assist, in identifying how the work that you do that affects the quality, or impacts the environmental aspects of the products or services we provide to customer(s) Improve your work processes Write procedures or work instructions that describe your work Provide input and verify that documented procedures are adequate and accurate Understand and use your work/job instructions Understand our quality and environmental policies and how they apply to you Keep records and data Participate in internal audits Participate in ongoing process improvement Participate in external registration and surveillance audits SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be familiar with the use of hand tools such as drilling machine, hand grinder and regular tools (wrenches, screw drivers...etc). Must be familiar with the use of electrical measuring devices such as a volt / amp multi-meter, clamp meter...etc. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Machining skills Welding skills High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Printing or web handling experience is a plus. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Hand tools such as drilling machine, hand grinder and regular tools (wrenches, screw drivers...etc). Lathe, mill, welder, drill press. Computer proficiency is a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to work from ladders The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT : Work is performed in a clean air-conditioned manufacturing environment around mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment occasionally requires hearing protection. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock, and to toxic chemicals and vapors. The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
