JOB PURPOSE Responsible for the timely, efficient and accurate processing of orders and handling of customer inquiries. Assists area personnel as needed and keeps management informed of significant problems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Receives and processes orders accurately and timely, taking into account lead time requests, customer standing, order accuracy and inventory availability. Answer phone lines in a prompt, professional manor. Refers new customer requests to Sales department personnel. Processes customer complaints and credit requests and escalates to Sales department personnel. Maintains a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times. Responds promptly to customer inquiries. Supports other sales personnel with customer inquiries. Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support Performs other essential functions as assigned. Ensures that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained. Handle direct customer interaction on a sales floor environment along with checking out products for Point of Sale transactions. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Administrative duties are well managed, coordinated and completed in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Related documentation is complete, accurate, and timely. Good communication and effective working relations exist with other personnel. Senior Management is appropriately informed of area activities and significant problems. The Company's professional reputation is projected to all stakeholders (eg customers, team members). REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND EDUCATION Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Knowledge: Strong understanding of customer service and working with customer support. Usable knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) Experience Required: Previous related experience is preferred. Point of Sale experience is considered a plus. Skills/Abilities: Well organized with strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Able to stay calm under pressure. Able to maintain accurate paperwork. Able to use all computer applications. Experience with NetSuite is a plus. MAJOR PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Language: Fluent in English language, able to convey detailed instructions or ideas. Hearing: Able to hear with or without the use of a hearing aid in normal environments. Visual: Good visual acuity with or without the use of prescription glasses or contact lenses. Physical: Mix of sitting and physically active periods. Exerts up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 5 lbs. frequently. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Reasoning Ability: Able to deal with a variety of scenarios. Able to interpret various instructions. Mathematics Ability: Able to perform basic math skills. Comprehension Ability: Ability to read and comprehend sales and marketing materials relevant to the position. Able to enter and process data in computer applications. Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States. JOB QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an order selector may be advantageous. Experience with inventory management and good computer skills. Basic mathematic skills. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamworking skills. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and remain standing for long periods. Strong computer skills with MS Office suite & ERP systems - NetSuite Preferred. Maintain a Positive Can-Do attitude SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS May be required to work overtime May be required to work on weekends Must pass a criminal background check Must pass a post-offer drug screen WORK REQUIREMENTS Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds Frequently bend, stoop, squat, or twist Frequently sit, stand, walk or drive Able to climb ladders to pull products from racking Repeatedly grasp, push/pull, or perform other finger and hand manipulations Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for entire workday Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
