MKS Atotech , a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, equipment and software used in the printed circuit board, semiconductor and connector industries, has an immediate opening for a Line Technician. Responsibilities Include: This position supports the daily running of the POP/Deco Pilot Line in Rock Hill to produce samples and verify chemistry for customers and potential customers. This includes the Chemical Make Up and Maintenance of plating solutions including treatments and purifications as required. The person in this role is required to maintain and keep area clean, organized and safe; create necessary documents and provide document control for analysis, testing and process control; and conduct testing for the OEM and customer requirements. Sample Preparation - Establish plating cycles, plating rack designs, chemistry parameters, processing times and other physical/chemical duties required to electroplate a finished product for the customer. Perform - Routine as well as special analysis and plating tests on POP/DECO bath samples. Troubleshooting - based upon analytical and plating data. Discuss results and recommendations with supervisor. Recommend - Actions for adjusting discrepant plating solutions into specification. Maintenance - Operate Calibrate and perform general maintenance of line equipment. What You Bring to the Team : Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related science degree or equivalent work related experience required. 12 months production experience in a "POP/Plating on Plastics" and metal finishing processes preferred. Ability to conduct testing according to the OEM Automotive specifications preferred. Ability to analyze plating chemistry related to the plastic and metal finishing and control them to the operating parameters preferred. Ability to utilize a computer; the ability and skills required to process documents preferred. Basic Mechanical skills and or mechanically inclined. Ability to lift 70 lbs.
