Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the common areas and parking lot of the Shopping Center. Training is provided. Seeking dependable, friendly and detail oriented individuals to join our team. SCHEDULE : 40 hrs/week. This position is a day shift, scheduled during center hours, which are Monday-Saturday 10AM-8PM and Sunday 11AM-6PM. OFF Thursday and Friday. Applicant must be able to work Sundays as scheduled. WAGE: $15.00/hr. Position is benefit eligible and accrues vacation and PTO days, sick days, plus generous holiday pay for company designated holidays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain all common areas of the center, including the public restrooms and parking lots, to the standards set by company for cleanliness and appearance (removing gum, stains, cigarette butts, paper and debris from ground). Support all Departments as directed by Center Management. Perform all duties according to OSHA established health and safety standards. Assist customers as appropriate, always maintaining a positive friendly and helpful attitude. Maintain a working knowledge of all safety procedures established for the Center. Maintain a safe and clean work area in all custodial storage areas. Insure complete working knowledge and familiarity of all Center Emergency Procedures. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. No experience necessary. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend instruction. Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service. REASONING ABILITY Ability to identify problems and then recommend a resolution. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in writing or verbal. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to work independently and take initiative. Requires attention to detail. PHYSICAL and/or MENTAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess strength, stamina and mobility by walking to perform physical work out of doors in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use of hands to pick up trash and clean common areas, ability to push and pull custodial cart, weighing approx. 25-30 pounds, throughout the center, prolonged standing and repetitive bending/lifting/stooping/twisting to pick up trash and clean common areas, move materials weighing up to 30 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio.
