Brookings Health System, located in Southeast South Dakota, is ranked #1 among peer rural and community hospitals across the nation and we are seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our team. Come be part of the Brookings Health System mission: To provide high quality, compassionate, personalized health care. The incumbent will provide general medical care to hospitalized patients within the scope of licensure. Providing care to adult inpatients, age 18 to geriatric. Candidate must be able to function independently. This is a full time, benefit eligible position, 36 hours per week from 8 pm to 8 am. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Must have graduated from a Physician Assistant education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs (CAAHEP) or from a Certified Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE. Also, Knowledge of patient rights and ethical professional practices required. 2 years of hospitalist/internal medicine experience required.
