Duty First Consulting (DFC) is currently seeking a Junior Analyst to join our DFC Human Capital Management team. Our team works on projects intended to help organizations transform by optimizing their workforce through realigning operations and processes in order to improve their effectiveness. Our professionals address organizational and personnel barriers so that clients can reach mission objectives. Under general direction, the Junior Analyst will assist the team by supporting training development, focus group facilitation, survey development, and data reporting. The Junior Human Capital Analyst will also conduct administrative activities, project research and will provide appropriate recommendations based on that research. What the role requires: Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Monitor project progress by tracking activity, which includes administering or managing specific projects, programs or tasks. Write status reports and recommend action plans. Assist with writing project documents. Draft briefs, reports, and communications needs, and develop materials to support management. Conduct applicable and relevant research on a variety of programs and issues. Support training development based on data findings. Provide analytical and strategic human capital support. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as requested. Support planning of user focus group sessions including agendas, timelines and logistical planning. Support creating and sending communications to participants and stakeholders. Demonstrating a strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence. What you need to be successful: 1-2 years of experience in management consulting. Federal government experience, coursework, or experience doing qualitative and/or quantitative analysis is a plus. Ability to be self-directed and work on tasks requiring analysis, writing, and planning activities with limited guidance. Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Outlook, MS Excel, and SharePoint 2010. Strong attention to detail; highly organized. Strong research skills. Interest in project management, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently and in teams is required. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US as sponsorship is not available for this position. Ability to obtain a US government security clearance. Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates.
