The medical assistant serves as a key support staff in the medical unit, helping to carry out the agency's mission and providing support to the physician, nurses and clients. Specifically, the medical services assistant will:1) manage the schedule for the physician,2) assist medical personnel3) provide blood draws as part of the agency's admission process.-Must be professional and punctual.-Must be able to work Mon-Fri 5:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m.-Must be capable of multi-tasking and work with high volume ofpatients.DUTIESProvide administrative and clinical support.Assist physician and nurses with client management including phlebotomy.Maintain medical section of client charts.Maintain client physical exam and consult schedule.Attend medical case conference meeting.Ensure blood work is received and forwarded to APRN for signature and client communication.QUALIFICATIONSMedical Assistant Certificate is required.One year experience in health care environment in clerical or administrative capacity; an understanding ofoutpatient care services.Work history that demonstrates the understanding of a consumer-driven delivery system, accomplishment,punctuality and the ability to work well with colleagues.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and the manage demands of personnel at all levels of the organization; strong organizational skills. Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish preferred.Strong communication skills along with the interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization and its stakeholders.Computer literate. Demonstrated ability with MS Outlook.**MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE****Bi-Lingual a plus***Certified Medical Assistant
