Job Description Verity was founded with a focus on providing advanced science and technology and business management services to commercial and government clients. Our team includes engineers and analysts with subject matter expertise in domains that span software development, simulation technologies, experimentation support tools, and systems analysis methodologies. Additionally, we have applied expertise in emerging threat evaluation, analysis, and simulation. These capabilities have been successfully applied to not only Science and Technology (S&T) programs, but also major weapon system acquisition programs and gap-filling warfighter solutions. We are seeking a Jr-Mid Level Software Engineer to p rovide system/software engineering and technology innovation to Army Air and Missile Defense, Aviation, and/or MDA software solutions. Objectives of this Role Support technical aspects of the program including the system engineering process, program progress, analysis, and the output of the technical team. Ensure all technical activities are identified, executed, and documented. Utilize technical background working in requirements development, design, traceability, interoperability, continuous integration, and system testing of software-intensive systems. Review and filter technology opportunities, promising activities, and technical gaps based upon projected capability needs. Support the technical performance of the project through control activities including reviews, metrics data collection, identifying corrective actions and ensuring implementation. Support automated software test and pipeline development activities. Identifies and tracks risks associated with program/software interfaces, development, and integration/test activities. Report project technical status and progress to the technical and programmatic staff. Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Required Skills and Qualifications ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline; or BS in Computer Science or related technical field Minimum 4 years of related experience Background in software development Knowledge of the complete Software/Systems Development process and lifecycle Some Travel Active security clearance Preferred Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) Strong Background in Java Strong Background in C/C++ Background in JavaScript Experience developing and maintaining System/Software Engineering artifacts Analysis of software source code and binary executable files is a plus Experience in software analysis tools such as Understand, CodeSonar, CodeDx, and CodePeer is a plus Due to the nature of our business and the role, please note that VERITY and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
