Qualified Professional Vocational Specialist - Full Time Join a supportive team who values personal & professional growth and serving the community! As a member of the ACT multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing evidence based supported employment in a way that is consistent with the eight practice principles of IPS. The primary goal is to educate the member about their opportunities and the benefits associated with work and/or school, assessing for job readiness, preparing for employment and supporting throughout the process of seeking and maintaining employment to promote fulfilling productivity and community inclusion. Schedule Mon-Fri, 830a-430p. Pay Starting pay for this role is $21.00 per hour. You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. We also provide company paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and paid credentialing. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Job Responsibilities of an ACT Qualified Professional Vocational Specialist Provide skill-building to individuals who are served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team Facilitate training of independent living skills, establish access to community services and agencies, assist individuals in establishing support networks in the community and assess individual needs on a daily basis. Establish relationships with employers and serve as liaison, advocate and coach for clients wishing to seek employment Coordinate services with the program, staff, inpatient facilities, and detoxification facilities and establish linkage to residential programs, self-help programs and community resources. Review treatment progress and monitor and provide continuous consultation with other Assertive Community Treatment Team staff and community agencies to ensure the consistent therapeutic management of the individual's needs. Act as liaison with the program on call staff on a daily basis through exchange of participant information Participate in on-call crisis intervention rotation approx. 1x/month Develop service plans and/or person-centered plans as appropriate, and screen referrals in coordination with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members. Meet regularly to review the total caseload, problem-solve, develop plans, and determine daily duty assignments. Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements. Participates in cross training of team as related to area of expertise. Qualifications of an ACT Qualified Professional Vocational Specialist Education and Experience Meets criteria for Qualified Professional 4-year degree in Human Services + 2 years' experience with population served 4-year degree non-Human Services + 4 years' experience working with population served Minimum 1-year experience with IPS model, preferred Experience with Adult Developmental and Intellectual Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorders 2 years' experience with co-occurring and mental health population Certifications Valid North Carolina Driver License - NC Division of Motor Vehicles Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to change routine in a positive manner Ability to solve problems as they arise Ability to take initiative, make sound decisions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Able to maintain good work attendance and build positive relationship with people supported Demonstrate strong organizational skills Lift at least 25lbs, bend, stoop, reach Maintain stable work behaviors daily Must have proficient interpersonal skills Must respond appropriately to emergency situations About SouthLight Healthcare Tap into your passion at SouthLight Healthcare.
